Montsable Pinot Noir, IGP D'Oc 2023
Although much warmer than in Burgundy, the southern Languedoc region is producing some really pretty and fruit forward styles of Pinot Noir. If you're a traditional Pinot drinker, this maybe a little bit fuller in style than you're used to, but it's absolutely got its place on the dinner table with the right dish. We'd pair the Montsablé with a rich lamb casserole. The nose is aromatic with hints of black cherry and elegant floral notes. On the palate, this Pinot Noir is silky and well balanced, with lovely smooth tannins.
