Chilled Summer Reds

Chilled Summer Reds

Published at Aug 12, 2020
A chilled red in the summer can be an absolute delight and it's a great food match, but it needs to be a light red with low tannin, such as a Beaujolais or a Pinot Noir. Chilling full-bodied, high tannin, high-alcohol reds like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot will make them taste astringent and metallic. Our recommendations for a chilled red would be the Le Fou Pinot Noir or the Les Pivoines Beaujolais Villages. Give it a try next time you've got the BBQ running!
