Granito Cabernet Carmenere 2016
I know we're not supposed to have favourites, but this is definitely in our top 10! Wow, what a stunning wine, and a superb addition to our South American range. The name comes from the Granito, which is a granitic soil more than 120 million years old. These are also old vines with deep roots and this minerality expressed in the wine. As a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere, the wine delivers rich dark berry fruit with liquorice and warm spice. It's multi-layered and complex on the finish and drinking superbly now.
