Super excited to have a Uruguayan Cab Franc in our portfolio. The grapes for the Vina Progreso Cabernet Franc come from small plots located within the Progreso village district. The most important influences on the grapes in these vineyards is their proximity to the sea and the clay calcareous soils with a high PH resembling Burgundy soils. With these vineyards, Vina Progreso obtains high concentration of tannins and delicate flavours and aromas. The 2019 Cabernet Franc delivers plenty of soft red fruit and herbaceous notes typical of the grape. It's smooth with well structured tannins and acidity. Drinking now, but will age nicely over the next five years.
